I love that you're doing this every year.... and I admire you for keeping it updated throughout the year. I tend to fall out of the habit after a few months.

I've come to realize that it's the only way I can keep track of things like movies. I tried to do that in my calendar last year, managed till early September and then it just... faded or something. It's somehow so much easier on LJ. My trick is to keep it on the top/sidebar so that every time I look at my LJ I see a link to it, and am reminded that I should check if it's up-to-date.

Thanks for the tip about putting the link in the sidebar. Now I did that, too.

Also, one more thing? What exactly do you put in the "music" section? Things you like especially much, or every new song/album you listen to? Everything else is nicely countable, but the music bit feels so hard to limit. I have a music section as well, but I'm still in doubt about how to use it in the best way.

My music section is usually songs/albums that I've liked especially much. Like, listen to them 25 times within a week kind of liking. I'm actually thinking about making a Spotify playlist for everything that ends up listed here so I can listen to it all at the end of the year and hear what kind of musical soundscape this year has had.
